We focus our research and development capacity mainly on semiconductor industries' IC design firm as well as assembly firms. For our customers, we develop and manufacture ceramic, quartz, ruby, sapphire, as well as all kinds of composite material with the attribute of hardened but brittle. To name a few, we have co-developed solutions for silicon nitride, silicon carbide, optical glass, and single crystalline silicon. 

Our role in the development projects is focusing on micron-level drilling, counterboring, and counter-sinking, of consistent array and matrix of holes on the brittle materials. The smallest hole diameter could be 5 microns. In addition, with our 5 axis capacity, we are capable of handling projects for complex small part production. 

In the process of our development and production, CERTON employs specialized drilling heads to perform the cut. Which exercise lesser stress to the material than conventional method of EDM machines. The result is a stable diameter result without affecting the surface RA around the holes. CERTON strives to satisfy the customer's demands for highly stable machining results on demanding tasks.
